Boost! West Oakland is a non-profit offering no-cost, one-on-one tutoring
to K-5 students at Lafayette Elementary School in West Oakland. Our kids
WANT to be tutored and look forward each week to that special one-on-one
time. Each tutor is provided with ongoing training and support to
implement individualized teaching strategies for their student. Tutors
have the opportunity to attend monthly no-cost field trips with their
students thereby extending learning beyond the classroom and developing a
mentoring relationship.
