he Pacific Center is the third oldest LGBT community center in the
nation, and is well-respected nationally for the longevity and quality of
its programs. Volunteers are the foundation upon which the organization
was built and continue to reflect our core values. Our mission is to
foster and enhance the well-being and self-respect of LGBTQ youth,
seniors, and adults through the delivery of LGBTQ-competent mental health
and wellness services, and to increase access to LGBTQ-competent mental
health services through the cultivation of a strong community of
LGBTQ-proficient mental health care professionals
In addition to peer support groups, Pacific Center offers sliding scale
therapy, a youth development program and speaker’s bureau, information
and referral services and a LGBTQ lending library/resource room.
