Volunteens, an auxiliary of Diablo Valley Giving Partners, provides an opportunity for motivated students in grades 7 through 12 to give back to their community. Through their volunteer efforts, students in this year-long program develop leadership, organizational, and public speaking skills.

What We Do

Volunteens meets monthly and selects activities they wish to support, with a focus on school-aged students, seniors, and youth experiencing homelessness. Teens also volunteer at the Giving Partners Thrift Shop.

Volunteens put caring and commitment into action by working
together to develop and host teen-led interactive programs and
getting involved in several programs across Diablo Valley Giving
Partners. One of the Volunteens’ major fundraising events is the
Annual Fashion Show and Tea, featuring clothing from Giving Partners Thrift Shop in Lafayette. In addition to running the show, Volunteens model, plan the menu, and prepare and serve food.
