The Friends of the Fountain and Walk is a non-profit group of volunteers who reconstructed the fountain in northwest Berkeley beginning in the early 1990’s and who now assist the City in maintaining the fountain and the surrounding area. The reconstruction was one of the first joint projects between the City and the community, and they felt it was so successful that they have encouraged other groups to organize and work with them. Friends of the Fountain and Walk (FOFW) is steeped in the past; our mission is to preserve Berkeley’s oldest work of public art, the restored
century-old Fountain at The Circle and nearby Fountain Walk. But we need help moving into the future, from someone who can help us boost our online presence and bring FOFW into the digital age.
