Sutro Stewards is a San Francisco nonprofit dedicated to maintaining the
trail network and habitat on Mount Sutro Open Space Reserve. We have
workdays every Wednesday in our native plant nursery, and every first and
third Saturday we work both in the nursery and out on the trails. Work
includes trail maintenance, planting native plants, removing invasive
plants, sowing seeds and transplanting plants in the nursery. This is a
great opportunity for anyone who loves being outdoors, wants to learn more
about habitat restoration and horticulture, and loves working alongside
other likeminded people.
