Reading Partners is a local nonprofit organization that works to expand life opportunities for elementary school children in low-‐income communities by empowering them with strong literacy skills. At each of its school sites, Reading Partners transforms a dedicated space within the school into a reading center and recruits and trains community volunteers to tutor students twice a week for 45 minutes.
No experience is necessary -‐ tutors work with Reading Partners’ structured and easy-to-follow literacy curriculum, with the training, support, and coaching of an on-‐site Reading Partners staff member.
By working one-on-one, we can target students’ specific learning gaps at their pace and with their learning style.
Hours are flexible – choose one 45-‐minute session between 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Thursday
Orientation, ongoing training, and support will be provided by the Reading Partners Site Coordinator.
