Girls on the Run of the Bay Area

coaches are enthusiastic, dedicated, and positive volunteers of all
different backgrounds! Some are athletes and some are not; most have never
coached before. All are committed to empowering girls with valuable life
lessons. Coaches must have availability on weekday afternoons, twice per
week over a 10 week fall or spring season. Working directly with a team of
3rd-5th grade girls, coaches teach healthy lifestyle lessons while
training the team for the culminating Girls on the Run 5K. No prior
experience is necessary: we provide a full training and all lesson plans
and materials needed to be a successful coach.
